Affordable housing in Iraq is one of the most pressing issues in recent decades, especially regarding low income families.
This scheme aims to find appropriate solutions by looking back in time to marry traditional building techniques with contemporary methods of construction. The layout comes in the form of a basic cluster of houses around a common patio.
Groups of these colourful clusters form the base for large communities. We strongly believe that a combination of thorough research, local knowledge and professional experience is crucial in developing an effective and financially viable scheme for countries in need of large scale housing developments.
AMBS prepared this study with attention to building high density housing that addresses; social identity, sense of community, environmental sustainability, the encouragement of local growth, living standards, construction costs, timing and plot efficiency.
