Al Karrada centre

This centre is located in one of the most prestigious areas in the city of Baghdad. The mixed use building encompasses one of the largest local shopping malls in addition to luxury apartments.

The design creates internal walkways around four-storeys, surrounding an open courtyard with fountains.

The entrance is situated at a corner and recreates the image of ancient Baghdad alleyways ‘darbouna’ and shopping arcades. The materials used are facing brickwork and glazed ceramic tiles, and woodwork details and ornamentation.
